FAIR TRADE Plans to India and Bali materialize

Last May 2010 I attended the Gross National Happiness USA conference in Burlington, VT. Having been in Bhutan the previous hear for two weeks of travel and study about the Bhutan Gross National Happiness effort, this was an amazing conference. I must say that the best thing to come out of the conference, led by Linda Wheatley, are the new friends that many of us made.
This month Linda Wheatley and a small group are traveling to Bhutan to learn more. Having already been there, I opted to meet a few ladies in India afterwards. On March 20, arriving March 22 in Bangkok, I begin my journey returning to India. This trip will include slow travel from Delhi to Varanasi to Darjeeling, returning to Delhi.
I plan to visit artisans that now work in the Fair Trade arena. My project in the next ten days is to line up these introductions.
------after leaving the India group on April 4, I fly to Densapar, Bali, Indonesia, to hook up with Sharon Greenwood of Matur Suksema and other Fair Trade ladies.
